Horse Chestnut is a neutral and bitter herb affecting the intestines of the body. The bark and flower (or seeds) are used for its medicinal effects. According to Michael Tierra from his book, The way of Herbs, he says "the bark is used for intermittent fevers and externally for ulcers and sores. The fruit (or seeds) is used for rectal problems, such as hemorrhoids, as well as for other problems of a rheumatic and neuralgic nature". At Sunshine Market we carry this wonderful herb in several forms (dried, tincture and in herbal supplement capsules).
